Just got my sample pack.
Having to switch to a carnivore protein powder because of food intolerances (dairy and pea included). I didn't know what to expect taste and consistency wise, but all three flavours are great, and mix well with what I've tried so far. I haven't tried any other beef protein powder options, but I don't feel the need to after trying what The Nourish Market offers.
In my opinion (mainly because of the types of shakes I prefer), the chocolate flavour is the best. At this point, the mix I'm using is a couple of frozen ice cubes of coconut milk, oat milk, a frozen banana, and some hemp hearts. I make it the night before work and shake in a bit of water before drinking - to help with consistency after being refrigerated overnight.
As far as the unflavoured goes, it's very neutral tasting. With coconut milk, berries and hemp hearts, you hardly notice it at all. I was experimenting with the vanilla flavour by adding a shot of espresso, some ice cubes and a bit of natural vanilla extract...
Haven't perfected it, but there's a diamond in that rough for sure.
I just purchased a stock of the chocolate flavour after having purchased a bag of the unflavoured. With the unflavoured I thought I could get away with adding a bit of cocoa powder to achieve my "preferred" chocolate recipe, but it's not quite the same as using the choc flavour and no cocoa powder. Have yet to continue with my vanilla espresso attempts using the unflavoured...
I am only just starting to phase out the "antagonizing" foods from my diet, so it's still a pretty "crummy science experiment" with too many variables to weigh in on how the beef protein affects my body vs other protein powders. For anyone interested, I'll to remember to come back and update after the diet is cleaned out fully and for a substantial amount of time.
All in all, I was worried with having to divert from the known whey and pea protein options I have been using for years...but I'm SO glad to have this option. Plus, for me, I get to "support local"!!
